Welcome to the Puna News, Puna's only newspaper. We hope you enjoy it. To read the latest issue just click on the front page above.
About the Puna-News on-line edition:
1. Navigation through the new on-line version is no more difficult that when you had the paper in yours hands. Where it says "continued on page . . ." just click there and the paper will automatically go to the correct page.
2 The paper is in a pdf format which simply means that the pages are individually stacked from top (the Front page) to bottom (the last page). Instead of turning pages all you have to do is continue to scroll down to the next page or up to go back to a page. There is also a page number, usually at the bottom of your screen but sometimes at the top, that tells you what page you are on (page "X" of "y"). If you want a particular page just change the number "x" (where you are) in the box to the page number where you want to be and hit "enter."
3. You can also easily get to any other website you see listed in an article or an advertisement by simply clicking on the web address listed. The computer will automatically connect to the desired website.
4. We have also made the pages 81/2 x 11 (non-standard page format for a web-site but standard for your printer) in case you are like so many who just don't want to read it on-line and want a printed copy. If you are we suggest that, in order to save paper, you first print the odd number pages then put the paper back into your printer so that the clean side will get printed on and print the even number of pages (i.e. page 1 on the front side, page 2 on the back of it, etc.). If you are not worried about the amount of paper just print the complete file as you normally would any file.
However you choose to read the paper, thank you for visiting our site and enjoy this month's edition.
